Muay Thai is very popular in the world not just in Thailand and gaining very fast in the gym center. However different gym center they share with students different rules of Muay Thai. The training of muay thai all been modified for different purpose. Some of them for lose weight, some of them for self-defense and some of them for WEA fighting.
Muay Thai Coaching and officiating rules have also been changed beyond recognition, leading several countries to label as Muay Thai.
So, if Muay Thai wants to be promoted faster, standard rule, and higher qulification is needed.
That's the Thailand government wants to set new standard of Muay Thai.
